You get what you pay for.

Many small production studios have emerged since the advent of inexpensive digital audio workstations. Many of these computer-based digital studios offer very attractive rates when compared to larger, established facilities. Nobody wants to pay more than they have to, so why spend $40 an hour or more when you can record in a small digital studio for $15 or $20 an hour?

The real question is:

Will it sound good?

Quality is not all about equipment. While professional equipment is important, much more critical is the skill of the engineer. A great engineer can do more with average equipment than an inexperienced engineer can with a million-dollar studio. Combine a great engineer/producer and professional-grade equipment and the result is going to be superior quality.
